Combe Martin is
renowned for having the longest village street in England, stretching for over 2 miles from the 'top' of the village to the beach, or 'seaside' as its known locally.
This bay of sand and
shingle provides shelter for small boats and from here many small coves along the coastline, such as Wild Pear and Broadsands, can be explored by canoe or ocean kayak. These
beaches are difficult to reach by foot so care should be taken, however they are excellent for snorkelling and, if experienced, scuba diving.
A mile down the road,
towards the town of Ilfracombe, you will find the quaint and peaceful village of Berrynarbor.
The residents of
Berrynarbor can pride themselves by being winners of best kept village in
