South Molton is
situated on Exmoor's southern fringes and is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area.
It's a small market
town which is now easily reached from the North Devon Link Road, after leaving the M5 Motorway at junction 27.
The town itself
contains a relatively small number of shops, pubs and restaurants and is not far North Devon's main shopping centre, Barnstaple.
Exmoor
was given the status of National Park in 1954 in order to preserve its wildlife and outstanding natural beauty. The area contains 600 rights of way, a mixture of over 400
