North Devon is renowned for its
dramatic and rugged coastline which harbours miles of superb golden sands, which are perfect for surfers, and a wide variety of hidden coves to discover. Many of these can be explored on foot
but some leave no option but to take to the water. Travel by boat on one of the many excursions available from the local towns and villages or traverse the waves yourself by kayak or canoe.
The rolling hills of Exmoor provide
outstanding areas of natural beauty, from heath and moorland to forest and wooded valleys, which are perfect for either a leisurely stroll to a full days hike. Exmoor also offers
excellent trails for mountain biking and horse riding.
For shopping, the towns and
villages in the area provide everything you'd expect. From small quaint gift shops, where you can purchase local produce such as Devon honey or clotted cream, to large national stores which
most people are already familiar with.
With excellent rail
links and the North Devon link road providing easy access from the M5 motorway, North Devon is fast becoming one of the top holiday destinations in the UK.
