Review | 2015 Fatyak Kaddy Storage Pod

Storage Solution

We've taken a dry bag out in the open storage well before, only to open it to find it hasn't lived up to its name! The Kaddy has enough room to carry and protect equipment for a day on the water - clothing, camera, mobile phone and radio. A place to store food and drink, away from the summer sun and sea spray and we would feel far more confident that items will remain dry for the duration of the paddle.

There is even enough room to store snorkeling equipment in addition to the items already mentioned. And for those who like to throw a line from their kayak and catch fish, it's a brilliant addition for storing fishing tackle and bait. If you don’t decide to throw them back, you could try it with an ice-pack as a secure way to store fish, away from the heat of the sun.

Conclusion

It's another brilliant piece of design from the forward-thinking, innovative British company - creating a product we didn't realise we needed until they produced it! The Kaddy is lightweight, streamlined and well-made. A practical, high-quality and aesthetically pleasing piece of equipment at a good price-point: at just £49.95 (and available in black or white and eight vibrant colours), it's a brilliant way to add storage, protect equipment and engage additional ways to attach equipment to your Kaafu.

If you already own a Kaafu (or are thinking of buying one), we highly recommend purchasing the Kaddy to compliment the versatility and practicality of your Fatyak kayak.
